It's that time of the year again: one feast after the other but don't stress, we got you covered.
First of all though I have to say one thing: Please don't stress too much the holidays are a time to be happy and indulge. This guide is here to help you get some new ideas for staying on track between family dinners, fondue with friends and all those yummy Christmas cookies.
1. Eat healthy in-between the feasts:
Well eating healthy is of course always important but during the holidays it can be tough to stay on track with nutrition because there is so much to do and so little time. So here are some blogs that offer easy, healthy meal ideas:
The Vegan Stoner
I know these are Vegan recipes but you can easily substitute in fish and chicken ;)
Also please don't try to skip meals to compensate for the dinners and fondues, that will only make you feel crabby so rather option for some light nutritious meals.
2. Work Out
Oftentimes when life gets stressful around the holidays forgetting to workout or just not finding the time or energy can happen a lot and is completely normal. But thanks to these sites it will be a lot easier to squeeze in a 5 or 10 minute workout (or when the time allows it even up to 45 minutes) why you ask? Because they are fun! (Plus working out reduces stress so yay)
Blogilates: Cassey Ho is an amazing instructor and person
Tara Stiles Yoga: Because everybody needs Yoga in their life
Neila Rey: Amazing Printable Workouts
Fitnessblender: Anything you want but I especially enjoy the cardio section
3. And again (because I like to repeat myself): DO NOT STRESS!
This is the most important point, because believe me when I say life is too short to stress about all of this.
So: Eat the second plate of Christmas Dinner
Eat that Cookie (and a second one, and a third one,...)
If you are happy and healthy the number on the scale does not matter.
You know what? Throw out that damned thing, because you are beautiful the way you are and always remember (as cliché as it sounds) true beauty comes from the inside so live life the way you want to and don't let anybody else tell you how you should lead it.
Be happy.
Be kind.
Be yourself.
